Essence Salon Reopens on 9/8/2020

Hope this note finds you safe and healthy. We have really missed you!
Finally, we can reopen. We are so excited to once again bring you
"Happiness through Hairstyling"! As always, we have gone the extra mile to make your Guest experience as safe and fun as possible.
 

Let's take a look at this new experience so you know what to expect from us and what the State of California & County of Santa Clara requires of all of us:

Specials  Physical Changes to the Salon

We:
-installed a ventilation system that exchanges all the salon air for fresh air every few minutes. It's the next best thing to being outside.
-removed or taped off every other chair to accomplish social distancing.
-put plastic barriers between work stations for additional protection.

Process Changes for Your Safety...and Ours

Online booking will be available on 9/7. If you are on the waiting list, you will be contacted before then to schedule an appointment. No walk in appointments can be accepted

  • When booking, you will be asked to sign a Release of Liability
  • The County requires both an Email address and phone number in case they need to do contact tracing. We will not use your Email for marketing purposes if you opt out below. Otherwise, we will send you no more than 1 Email per month
  • Stay home, contact your health care provider and contact us to cancel if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive or have had contact with someone testing positive in the last two weeks
  • Come alone unless you need physical assistance or are a minor that needs their parent/guardian to be present
  • Bring only essential personal items but no more than 1 backpack, purse or briefcase
  • If your service is a haircut only, arrive with your hair thoroughly washed, preferably in the last 2 hours
  • Wear a 3 layer mask, disposable preferred, with ear loops, no bandanas
  • Arrive 5 minutes early & call/text us at 650-988-8822 that you’ve arrived. We'll call/text you back when we have everything prepared just for you
  • Your Guest Experience Manager (GEM) will:
    • Greet you, make sure you are wearing a mask, ask if you have had COVID-19 symptoms, positive test results or contacts with people testing positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks. If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions, the GEM is required by the County to turn you away, urge you to return home and contact your health care provider
    • Have you sign the liability waiver if you haven't already
    • Invite you to sanitize your hands or wash them in our lavatory cleaned just for you
    • Seat you at the appropriate station
  • If you wish to read something, bring it with you as there are no magazines inside
  • Ask your GEM to assist with product purchases so you don't have to touch
  • Prebook your next appointment at checkout as we expect the backlog to last a while
  • Please be prepared to pay with a credit or debit card. Other no-touch options are coming
  • A $5 COVID-19 surcharge will be added to your bil to help to offset the costs of implementing the protocol

If you’re late:

We can still perform your service(s) even if you are up to 15 minutes late. More than that and we will have to reschedule your service(s) if there is another appointment for your stylist adjacent to yours. If you know you are going to be late, please call us and we will do our very best to accommodate you. Reschedules with less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee. See "Cancellations" under the "About" tab for more information.

Your valuables:

Essence Salon is not responsible for the safe-keeping or damage of your personal items brought into the salon. If you do bring valuable items with you, please keep them in your possession during your service. Thank you.
